Composition and features of the class
There is no rigid division of feed into classes, which is the first thing you should know. This explains why low-cost dry food is frequently marketed as super-premium and why low-cost rations denigrate highly promoted, high-priced brands.
Thus, focus solely on the arrangement.
It satisfies the following conditions:
- dehydrated (dry, dried, dehydrated) poultry, fish, beef – 20-40%;
- 2nd order by-products: trachea, lips, ears, udder, skin;
- cereals: often this is wheat, corn, less often – rice, and in 90% of crackers there is more grain than meat;
- vegetables – along with cereals form the basis of "premiums", occasionally in this category there are grain-free rations based on vegetables;
- additives – vitamins and minerals;
- digestibility by 75-80%, caloric content – 300-350 kcal per 100 g.
Words like "poultry meat" or "animal products" may be used in the composition without providing specifics about the animals that were killed and the parts of their carcasses that were used in the production.
Companies are allowed to add beaks, hooves, skins, and other unappealing products to the granules thanks to this presentation. These are the characteristics of premiums, even though these ingredients are obviously not the best. It is also foolish to assume that the 300 rubles per kilogram dry food will only contain fresh meat.
An additional disagreeable aspect of "premiums" is that artificial additives, such as the infamous E-numbers, are permitted. They are required in order to extend the shelf life of the granules. It also costs less to use "chemistry" than natural preservatives. However, colorants and flavor enhancers are not present in this type of dry food.
Specialized lines are produced by manufacturers for small and medium dogs, large breed dogs, elderly people, puppies, pregnant women, and allergy sufferers, among other groups. The division is more conditional, though, as premiums hardly ever truly consider the unique needs of each animal.
However, premiums continue to be the most well-liked and reasonably priced. They are available in every pet store, cost between 250 and 400 rubles per kilogram, and work well for most animals. Feel free to select a brand from this class if money is tight.
Pet owners seek a premium dog food that strikes a balance between premium ingredients, optimal nutritional value, and flavor that their dogs will enjoy. We’ll examine the best options available in this review of 11 premium dog foods, emphasizing what makes each one unique in terms of ingredients, health benefits, and overall value for your pet.
Feed rating
The top premium brands are included in the list of feeds. We considered the following when determining the rating:
- Composition. First of all, we looked at the origin and volume of meat. Secondly, at the quality of plant ingredients, their quantity, the presence of additives. Data was taken from the official websites of manufacturers.
- Price. This is a key parameter for "premiums", because such diets are taken by owners with average or low incomes. Therefore, for some feeds, we lowered the place in the rating due to the unreasonably high cost.
- Reviews. We combed through cynological and veterinary forums, learned the real opinions of breeders, doctors and animal owners.
- Reviews, ratings and analyses on specialized independent resources, which were compiled by veterinarians: "Feed your pet correctly", Dog Food Rating, "Companion" and others.
We also considered our personal experiences. There are respectable brands among the "premiums" that are appropriate for both therapeutic diets and daily nutrition. We can suggest these lines to our readers as well as prescribe them to sick pets.
No. in the rating | Rating | Where it is produced | How much it costs |
---|---|---|---|
1. Fitmin | 9.5 | Czech Republic | 2.5 kg / 900 – 1,300 rubles. depending on the type |
2. Monge | 9.6 | Italy | 12 kg / 4,500 rubles. |
3. Acari Ciar | 8.5 | Russia | 5 kg / 700-1,600 rubles. depending on the type |
4. Gina | 9.9 | Danish production by order of the Russian company "Magna". | 1 kg / 414 rubles. |
5. ProBalance | 9.5 | Russia, Danish technologies | 15 kg / 2,695 p. |
6. Josera | 9.6 | Germany | 4 kg / 1050 p. |
7. Bozita | 9.3 | Sweden | 12 kg / 6000 p. |

11. Royal Canin | 8.6 | France | 3 kg / 1300 p. |
1. Fitmin
The business creates three varieties:
- simply Fitmin;
- Fitmin Solution;
- Fitmin For Life.
The super-premium is represented by the first line. However, Solution and For Life are in between two classifications.
All Fitmin variants can generally be listed under the "super" category. Only a few types of diets contain fewer than 30% meat, while 90% of diets include 40% or more. Flour and fresh carcasses of chicken, pig, beef, lamb, and fish were used by the manufacturer.
Fitmin does, however, also include a lot of wheat and rice cereals. Furthermore, to give the impression that the latter grain is smaller in volume, the manufacturer sells it under two to three different names (just wheat, bran, and flour).
One factor that helped Fitmin be identified as a premium category was its price. The price per kilogram starts at 350 rubles and goes up to 500 rubles. Also, drying will cost 250 rubles per kg if you purchase wholesale bags weighing between 15 and 20 kg.
Fitmin is therefore the greatest premium-class drying. The presence of pork is the only thing that is concerning. The harmfulness of pork in prepackaged diets has been called into question recently, though, because the raw material goes through a significant heat treatment that causes it to lose excess fat.
Fitmin’s main flaw is its limited selection. Thus, there are just 4 types in the Solution line. Even then, their differences are limited to tastes. With For Life, things are better because animal sizes and ages are already separated.
- great composition for a low price;
- high content of meat components;
- absence of soy, corn, GMOs;
- no artificial preservatives.
- eat wheat, which often causes allergies, the exception is Fitmin For Life Lamb& Rice based on rice;
- no veterinary series;
- few varieties.
Natalya Popova: "The availability of beef, lamb, and pork in addition to chicken is appealing. These types pack the granules full of fats and beneficial ingredients. There aren’t many varieties, but you can pick one that your dog will enjoy. Every menu item is nutrient- and vitamin-rich.
Evlalechka: "The drawback is that it’s hard to locate. You must "comb" internet and big-box pet retailers. Not available in typical shopping malls. Other than that, though, the dry food is fantastic—it’sinexpensive,has a high meat content, and produces few byproducts. Larger packages are more profitable because they have a handy lock and the granules don’t go bad.
2. Monge
Monge rations are almost at the super-premium and premium levels. The business creates five lines:
- Daily Line – for daily nutrition;
- Monoprotein – based on one source of animal protein;
- Grain Free Line – grain-free;
- Bwild – created taking into account the natural diet of wild predators, contain exotic varieties – wild boar, duck, ostrich, deer;
- Veterinary – therapeutic diets.
Even in the same line, dry food has different ingredients. Meat content ranges from over 40% in one to barely 20% in another. As a result, it is challenging to categorize Monge precisely. However, given the cost (350–500 rubles per kg), we can suggest the Italian company’s granules as a low-cost, daily complete diet.
- there are grain-free series with a high content of meat ingredients;
- low price;
- you can choose an inexpensive treatment series.
- few types – except for the veterinary branch, the rest of the lines are subdivided only by the breed and age of the animals;
- Not all packages indicate the amount of plant products – but based on their quantity, in some feeds it reaches 60% or more;
- some menus contain allergenic corn.
Shaidullina Liliya: "A veterinarian advised us to move our two-year-old dog to Monge Struvine after struvite deposits were discovered in the urine. The animal constantly licked herself, didn’t play much, cried, and sat down all the time prior to feeding. The condition got better after a few weeks, and three months later the doctor gave us the go-ahead to start eating regularly after the tests came back normal.
Lesiks: "Monge, the toy terrier, has been under my care for a year now. He appears and feels fantastic, with no health or digestive issues. Not every flavor worked for us; the dog scratched himself on the chicken, but lamb was fine. I’m not sure why so much corn had to be stuffed, but it didn’t seem to be harmful.
3. Acari Ciar
The feed rating is still done by ACARI CIAR & BOSSERT. Nine different types are produced. The company classifies all of them as super-premium and holistic, with the exception of Regular, which falls into the premium category. However, six episodes can actually be linked to the first class:
- Regular. For daily food, suitable for all breeds. 25% consists of dried meat (the type is not indicated), by 5% – from fish flour. The remaining key products are corn, wheat.
- Testi. Also suitable for dogs of all sizes. Includes 30% turkey. The remaining products are barley, wheat (their volume is not indicated).
- Aurora. Designed for adult animals. Contains minced meat from 2nd order offal and dried meat. The number of animal products is 40%. Filmers used rice, wheat, vegetables.
- Superba Activ. Designed for puppies and adult dogs with high activity. Contains 10% of the sea fish and 40% of the "meat mix": beef and cuts. Sources of plant protein are rice and oatmeal.
- Junior Dog. Designed for juniors 4-12 months. Medium -sized granules – such that it is convenient for kids to bite crackers. Contains 30% dehydrated carcasses (type not specified) and a mix of muscle meat, stomachs, larynxes, as well as 10% white fish. Other sources of animal protein – dry milk and eggs. Includes rice, millet, oatmeal.
- Baby Dog Starter. Designed for puppies up to 4 months, pregnant and lactating bitches, small breed dogs up to one year. Consists of 30% veal trimmings and by-products, 10% white fish. Other products – millet, oatmeal, rice (volume not specified), eggs (5%) and milk (10%).
Acari Ciar has been enhanced by:
- animal and fish fats;
- vegetable oils;
- PHYTO-vitamin complexes;
- extracts of Yucca Schidigera, astragalus, rosemary, alfalfa, grape seeds, flax seeds;
- mycocarb;
- sources of glucosamine and chondroitin;
- pine flour.
All things considered, Acari Ciar makes a tasty everyday meal. If the manufacturer had only used whole meat and left offal out, the diet would be considered super-premium. However, it is a reliable "average".
- high content of animal products;
- no artificial preservatives;
- there are series without allergenic corn and wheat;
- abundance of biologically active additives.
- vague wording: at the beginning it says "meat", and in brackets the explanation "fibers, tracheas, trimmings, stomachs" – this is a marketing ploy to deceive buyers;
- little pure meat, most of the animal ingredients are offal, trimmings;
- difficulties with delivery.
Valeria: "The company’s promises don’t match reality." The dogs ate the crackers poorly at first, and eventually they rejected them completely. The kids did not get enough and kept asking for more, so it is poorly absorbed. Also, there was less activity and the fur turned lifeless and fell out in clumps. Occasionally, diarrhea occurs.
Mronova_88: "Every variety is appropriate for daily consumption. Only veterinary series are absent out of numerous series. After two weeks, the pets’ appearance and general well-being improved, and they did not grow weary of the flavors. No digestive issues. There’s no need to give vitamins separately when using phyto-complexes.
4. Gina
OOO "Magna," a domestic importer, supplies the Russian market with "Gina" dry food. Two lines are present:
- Simply Gina. Classic menu of the premium category, produced in Denmark.
- Gina Elite. Joint production of England and Canada, grain-free diets, in some of them the meat content is higher than 40%, so we will classify them as super-premium.
The Gina series piques our interest. There are variations for:
- pregnant, whelping bitches and puppies;
- dogs with moderate or increased activity;
- pets with digestive problems or alimentary allergies;
- show animals;
- elderly pets.
Gina is made primarily with duck, salmon, lamb, and chicken. The amount of sources of animal protein is unknown because the manufacturer does not state what percentage of each product is made of animals. However, their mass fraction is high because meat ingredients are listed first on the list.
The remaining ingredients are represented by beets, rice, barley, oats, and legumes. The granules have been enhanced by:
- animal and fish fats;
- amino acids;
- probiotics;
- brewer"s yeast;
- glucosamine;
- chondroitin.
- no allergenic components – corn, wheat;
- abundance of useful additives to strengthen the immune system, digestive and cardiovascular systems, musculoskeletal system;
- high energy value – 350-360 kcal per 100 g.
- high price compared to other dried products with a similar composition;
- % of products not specified;
- few varieties;
- no medicinal series.
Alesya-09 wrote: "On all previous super-premium food, our pug had diarrhea, scratched, and shed fur. The issues vanished three weeks after the dog was switched to "Gina," and two months later the dog had completely changed: gorgeous fur, no dandruff, and no scratches. I tried it, and the granules tasted fine, smell good, and are not bitter. The dog enjoys it and gobbles it up.
Ealedi1: "When I purchased an English bulldog puppy from a breeder, I happened to learn about Gina by chance. This is the dry food I have fed my dog since he was a puppy. There were no issues, despite the breed’s propensity for allergies and digestive issues. However, it’s difficult to purchase: I had to order it online in bags because specialty stores didn’t carry it.
5. Probalance
The greatest premium dry food in the country. "Probalance" includes:
- 23-30% dried poultry;
- rice, barley, oats – high-quality plant sources of energy;
- phytocomplex of plant herbs;
- prebiotics and immunostimulants;
- glucosamine, chondroitin, L-carnitine;
- other vitamin and mineral supplements.
A passable arrangement for a "middle-of-the-road" But two artificial additives, E320 and E321, ruin the image. Though they are actually inexpensive preservatives, the manufacturer refers to them as "antioxidants." According to the official website, packs containing "eshki" are available, but these components are absent.
Particular consideration should be given to the grain-free variety. It substitutes potatoes, beets, lentils, and peas for cereal.
Probalance offers a meek range. Only thirteen major categories exist. Among them are:
- for pregnant women and puppies up to 3 months;
- universal for all breeds;
- for small, medium and large breeds;
- for puppies;
- hypoallergenic;
- for sensitive digestion.
- no allergens – soy, wheat, corn;
- high content of meat components;
- low price;
- suitable for exclusion diets.
- chemical additives;
- few types.
Nadya2018: "My pet has been receiving ProBalance’s hypoallergenic dry food for a year. He hasn’t been sick in this time, and his fur has grown softer and thicker with no ongoing fur issues.
Koshka: "I spent three years feeding my Rottweiler Royal. However, it started to get pricey for me, so I switched to a cheap Probalance. I selected it for breeds that are active due to its high protein content. The dog wouldn’t eat at first, so I had to combine crackers with broth. The animal is in perfect condition, but his fur has begun to fall out. The veterinarian speculated that since the food’s protein wasn’t the best, this might be the cause.
6. Josera
Josera separates its merchandise into two categories: premium and super-premium. In actuality, though, both fall into the premium group.
Many plant parts are present in both series, including rice, corn, potatoes, and beet pulp. Furthermore, the manufacturer separates the vegetables and cereals into derivatives, such as "dried potatoes" and "potato protein," to make the volume seem smaller.
Not all packs list the percentage of ingredients. If it does, then not everything. The inclusion of meat ingredients in the top five is encouraging, as these are the products that make up the majority of the granules. But there’s more plant-based food available than meat.
The phrasing is another flaw. Thus, there is a definition for "poultry meat flour" in addition to flour made from lamb, salmon, or duck. It’s unclear what kind of bird this is. Additionally, "meat flour" typically encodes parts of carcasses—such as backs, necks, tracheas, etc.—that are not fit for human consumption.
Josera does, however, offer decent rations for premium. Taking into account the cost of 200-250 rubles per kilogram, this is a great affordable choice.
The variety of lines pleases me. Every major kind is offered for dogs with various:
- sizes;
- activity;
- age;
- diseases – allergies, gastrointestinal problems, obesity.
Another feature is that there are varieties for working, sports, breeding, and lactating dogs in addition to puppies up to three months old.
- good composition for a low price;
- many types for dogs with different needs;
- unique type – for working, breeding and show pets.
- ingredients are not clearly spelled out – this way the manufacturer can hide unwanted products;
- abundance of cereals and vegetables.
Shva4ka: "It’s good that there are various groups." Good feedback from vendors and veterinarians enticed us, so we decided to try 2 kg. The dog had loose stools in the early going, but we thought that was just one of her quirks—she had a sick stomach. But the scenes kept repeating themselves. Even though we did not want to, we had to switch the dry food. However, it might just be a personal response.
Ivan_web: "My toy terrier has been eating "Josera" for the past four months. We consumed natural food prior to that, and then "Akana." However, it’s highly pricey, so we searched for reasonably priced, premium dry food. Josera turned into our miracle dog—shiny fur, regular stools, and an active canine. One kilogram is sufficient for a month.
7. Bozita
Bozita is a notable illustration of a situation in which class determination is impossible. The company makes two varieties: Original and Robur. They can both be categorized as premium. Both lines do, however, offer varieties with more than 40% meat (some grain-free). They already fit the super category.
Simultaneously, the menus for Robur and Original contain 14%, 23%, and 29% of meat products, respectively. In light of this, as well as the large number of allergens and plant-based ingredients, we categorize Bozit products as premium cereals.
Bozita is well-composed; it contains both fresh and raw meat in addition to dried meat. The granules have been enhanced by:
- fructooligosaccharides;
- yeast;
- glucosamines;
- chondroitins;
- medicinal herbs and fruits.
On the other hand, the manufacturer is lying. Thus, it overstates the product’s percentage content by mixing meat ingredients (like fresh and dried chicken) under one name. Conversely, unfavorable products (like corn) are separated into two to three categories (corn kernels, corn flour, and corn sprouts) to make the volume appear smaller.
- fresh meat is used;
- key lines are presented – for large and small dogs, pregnant women, puppies, allergy sufferers;
- there are grain-free diets.
- inflated price;
- a lot of rice, corn, potatoes, beets;
- marketing tricks – the ingredients are described in such a way that buyers get the wrong impression.
"The dog liked it, this picky eater hasn’t gotten tired of it even after a year," said Pulcheria Savvishna. She consumes it with the same fervor as she did on the initial day. Although the pet ate her share and didn’t ask for more, the feeding norms are modest. Teeth became free of plaque, weight returned to normal, and skin redness subsided.
Yulia K.: "We once attempted the entire line. Every variety was appropriate; however, a few weeks later, one dog developed diarrhea while the other dog remained healthy. Overall not too bad, but we declined due to digestive issues.
8. Blitz
The Blitz company uses a great marketing tactic to promote their products by offering kennel owners cooperation. Breeders can benefit from the program because it offers discounts, veterinary consultations, training, and other services.
Blitz creates two categories of dry food:
- Sensitive. There are food for puppies, universal for adult dogs of all breeds and for decorative dogs. Suitable for animals with chicken allergies. Made on the basis of dried turkey, pork, lamb (30-35.5%). Contain hydrolyzed chicken liver – in this form it is not dangerous, t.k. the protein molecules were destroyed during heat treatment. But if you are allergic to grain, refuse dry food: it contains rice and corn.
- Classic. Available in 7 types for puppies, adults, small and large dogs, as well as active and sporting dogs. Made on the basis of dehydrated chicken (19-35%). Otherwise similar to the Sensitive variety – also contains corn, rice, beet pulp.
Every series is enhanced by:
- brewer"s yeast;
- D-, L-Methionine;
- lysine;
- probiotics;
- herbal extracts;
- antioxidants;
- glucosamine and chondroitin – in granules for large breeds.
- rich vitamin and mineral complex;
- abundance of useful additives;
- high % of meat – 30-35%, only Adult Mini&Toy Breeds contains 19% of animal products.
- contains corn – often causes allergies;
- % of plant products not specified;
- the same grain is designated under 2-3 names (corn, corn silk, whole corn) – it seems that there are many components, but their share is less than the volume of meat.
Andrey Makhov: "The live probiotic diet is unique to Russia. They enhance the microbiota in the intestines, which is particularly crucial when administering antibiotics to dogs. After 1-1.5 weeks, there is a discernible improvement in health, provided that digestive disorders are ruled out. As "Blitz" satisfies global quality standards, an increasing number of breeders are moving to it.
Dremina Dina: "A reasonably priced, well-balanced diet. The pet eats happily and neither gains nor loses weight. Meat notes can be heard in the croutons, which don’t have a strong scent."
9. ABBA
The company separates its product line into two primary categories: puppy and adult dog products.
There are four types in the first. just two of which are premium:
- for puppies of large breeds – consists of dehydrated meat (14%), rice (14%), corn and barley (quantity not specified);
- for puppies of small breeds – the composition is similar to the previous series: the division is conditional, the varieties differ only in names and packaging.
Diets for the following represent the adult menu:
- all breeds;
- decorative dogs and large dogs;
- pets with sensitive digestion.
Dogs’ diets starting at age one don’t differ all that much from puppy food that is already prepared. The primary distinction is the high percentage of meat components—14%, 17%, 21%, or 30%.
Should you decide on ABBA, purchase packages labeled "based on fresh meat." They contain 30% more ingredients with an animal origin than other types.
Series from ABBA are grain-free. However, they fall under the super category since 40–55 percent of their ingredients are meat products and vegetables.
- no artificial additives, preservatives;
- the menu is enriched with chondroitin, glucosamine, brewer"s yeast, lecithin, L-carnitine;
- contains animal fats – sources of omega-3 and omega-6 acids.
- division of diets by age and size is conditional – the differences are only in the presence/absence of additives;
- many cereals, incl.. allergenic corn.
DiamondEye: "Avva is loved by Pesel." Additionally, I enjoy the smell. The pet uses the restroom twice daily, has little waste, and has normal digestion. The producer was able to produce food that was both delicious and economical to consume.
Svetlana: "The dog has an allergy, so I was searching for food without chicken. I went with veal-flavored canned food. After a year of feeding it, I was baffled as to why the redness and itching persisted. I then saw the composition, which was 30% beef and 40% chicken. This is misleading, in my opinion; the information regarding the chicken should have been on the front of the can rather than in tiny print on the back.
10. Skinner"s
The English company Skinner’s first made dog food for hunting. Its product line now includes brands for both show dogs and common pets. However, the fundamental idea of producing ready-to-eat food for energetic, athletic animals has not changed.
Dog dry food from Skinner’s comes in two varieties:
- Life. Consists of 20 species. Intended for animals of any breed at all stages of development.
- Field& Trial. Includes 36 lines for hunting and service dogs of all sizes and ages.
The meat meal used to make Skinner’s is from:
Not every package specifies the percentage of sources of animal protein. Where it is, there is a variance of 20–30%. So the granules mainly consist of legumes and grains: rice, corn, oats, wheat. However, there are two sweet potato and chicken-based grain-free varieties in the Field&Trial series.
Only hypoallergenic veterinary lines are available for pets who are obese or have sensitive digestive systems. They are not, however, therapeutic in the slightest because the company did not include in the assortment the products that frequently result in allergies and digestive issues. However, animals can have adverse reactions to any part.
Skinner’s is an ordinary premium brand. It cannot be claimed that it is appropriate for dogs used for hunting and service. Protein serves as predators’ primary energy source. Furthermore, components containing carbohydrates cannot be used in its place. However, this is the perfect menu for show pets who need to keep their bodies in tip-top shape and do not want to put on too much weight.
- personal cooperation program for breeders;
- one of the rare feeds developed for service and hunting dogs;
- there are lines without corn, wheat and completely without grain.
- inflated price – about 500 rubles for dry food, mainly consisting of plant products;
- the composition is not described in detail, the mass fraction of the components is not always indicated;
- not all feeds contain animal fats – they are replaced with vegetable ones.
Anna: "I was eager to give it a go. However, after reading the composition, I had a change of heart because it is too thin for the price."
Bulgan: "I purchased "Skinners" for an adult male East Siberian Laika and a puppy. They ate cautiously at first, but eventually they adapted. They consume everything they want, but because VSLs have a "economical" metabolism, it’s unclear how glutton breeds will fare with drying. I purchased granules as a temporary substitute for natural food because I don’t have time to cook, but I didn’t notice any particular changes.
11. Royal Canin
Mars Incorporated, an American company, is the creator of Royal Canin. It yields Chappi and Pedigree as well. The company used to produce the dry food in France, but these days it has its own factories in Russia.
The most well-known dry food brand in the country is Royal Canin. People without pets have also heard of it.
The reason for Royal Canin’s widespread appeal is its robust marketing strategy and accessibility – the company’s packages can be found in every city and can be found on the shelves of both pet supply stores and general supermarkets.
Not the best food is royal. Additionally, the majority of its members are in the economy class. While many veterinarians and breeders advise using this diet, we do not advise giving it to your dog on a constant basis.
Four to five different types of grains are found in any Royal Canin variety: rice, corn, wheat, oats, and their derivatives (flour, gluten, and separated vegetable proteins). Plant extracts, pomace, and vegetable pulp add to this "splendor."
Furthermore, meat is a catastrophe since it mostly consists of dehydrated animal proteins (poultry or pork). This ambiguous name conceals goods with a similar hazy provenance.
Additional sources of animal fats include hydrolyzed animal proteins (used as a flavoring additive) and fish oil, which is a great source of omega acids.
Other elements that are deserving of notice:
- vegetable oils (flax, borage, sunflower);
- herb extracts;
- hydrolyzed crustacean shells and cartilage – sources of glucosamine and chondroitin.
Although helpful, the additives are not as good as the main ingredient.
The range of regular and health lines is "Royal’s" area of expertise. No other business has this much of it. There are over 50 types in the veterinary series alone. Dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages, as well as those with any illness, can follow certain diets.
- huge selection of lines: even if you have a Chihuahua with obesity, allergies and kidney failure, you will find your food;
- availability – no problems with delivery, so you won"t have to switch your dog from one diet to another.
- overpriced;
- more suitable for feeding chickens than dogs;
- abundance of allergens – corn, wheat.
Ekaterina Pavlovskaya: "I like how many lines there are. Some companies do not carry certain types, such as those for stressed animals, anorexia, renal failure, etc. The diet is "empty," though, if "Royal Canin" is the mainstay. It is preferable to feed the pet natural foods along with vitamin and mineral supplements. The granules do not effectively clean teeth because they break apart in the mouth.
Kristy_Kiri: "There’s never enough time to cook, but the dog adores home-cooked food. And only Royal Canin is suitable for finicky eaters out of all the feeds. Although it costs a lot, you can afford it because the dog is tiny and doesn’t eat much.
