Dog Mountain is a mountainous area that the Hunecks purchased in 1995 and transformed into an art space for dogs and their owners. Situated on 150 acres (60 hectares), Dog Mountain Park features expansive fields for dog walks and pedestrians, a pond, and a church.

Since he was a young child, Stephen has loved dogs, and this love has not faded with age. Steven had Labradors, 5 dogs. He penned multiple books, one of which is dedicated to his Labrador, Sally, and is titled "All Dogs Go to Heaven." His engravings served as illustrations for the writer.

Stephen had an unfortunate event that gave rise to the idea of building a church. He spent two months in a coma following the accident, and it was difficult for him to come out of it.
